Repair Kit for DSG7 DQ200 Gearboxes
The DSG7 Repair Kit is designed to resolve pressure-related issues in DSG7 gearboxes (OAM, OCW DQ200) with a “dry clutch.” Pressure loss typically arises from cracks or structural failures (loss of tightness) in the hydraulic accumulator area of the valve body. This kit eliminates the need to replace the entire mechatronics plate. Instead, the hydraulic accumulator is secured using the original screws for fastening the plate to the mechatronics body.
Kit Contents
Hydraulic Accumulator – 1 pc
Cup (Adapter) – 1 pc
O-rings (pre-installed on the Cup) – 2 pcs
Key Features
Effectively resolves the “P17BF problem”, a common error in DSG7 transmissions.
Does not require replacement of the mechatronics plate, reducing repair complexity and cost.
Designed for ease of installation with standard screws.
Advantages of the DQ200 DSG7 Repair Kit
Wide Compatibility
The kit is compatible with all types of automatic transmissions within the DSG7 DQ200 series.
Simplified Repair Process
In most cases, repairs can be conducted without removing the mechatronics from the vehicle.
Only the tray needs to be dismantled for replacement, saving significant time and effort.
Prevention of Recurring Issues
By using this kit, recurring cracks at the joint (as often seen when only the valve body plate is replaced) are effectively eliminated.
Fast, Simple, and Reliable Installation
The kit offers a straightforward installation process, ensuring durability and reliability.
Restoration of Functionality
It allows the restoration of the mechatronics' performance, even in cases where the hydraulic accumulator's threaded fastener is damaged.
No Additional Modifications Required
Installation does not require any extra modifications or settings, maintaining the original system integrity.
Preservation of the Original Hydraulic Plate
There’s no need to dismantle or replace the original hydraulic plate, reducing overall repair complexity and cost.
Accumulator Breakdown in Mechatronics DSG 7 DQ200
Problems with Traditional Repairs
Valve Body Replacement:
A costly and labor-intensive solution.
Does not guarantee prevention of future failures.
Use of Cheap Valve Body Alternatives:
Results in poor durability and increased risks of additional breakdowns.
Principle of Operation
In the DSG 7 transmission system, the hydraulic pump circulates oil through a filter to a hydraulic accumulator, which ensures consistent oil pressure when the pump is idle.
Cause of Breakdown
The thin walls at the attachment point of the hydraulic accumulator are prone to cracking. This structural weakness leads to:
Pressure loss in the system.
Failure of the mechatronics module.
Advantages of the DSG7 Repair Kit
Complete Restoration:
The repair kit fully restores the valve body without requiring full replacement.
On-Site Repairs:
Mechatronics modules can often be repaired in a standard garage setting without removing the transmission.
No Disassembly Required:
Unlike replacing the valve body plate, this repair doesn’t involve full mechatronics disassembly.
Programming-Free Solution:
Installation requires no reprogramming before or after use.
Reliable Design:
The hydraulic accumulator attaches to the damaged housing and effectively restores the hydraulic system.
Post-repair, the hydraulic system pressure is restored, ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of the DSG7 transmission. This makes the repair kit a cost-effective, efficient, and durable alternative to traditional repairs.
